Built by operators, not observers.
MSPlex was born inside a working MSP. After two decades of managing IT operations for businesses across Dallas and beyond, we stopped waiting for someone else to build the integration layer we needed - and built it ourselves.
22 years of MSP experience, one product.
We did not pivot into managed services from a dev shop or an accelerator. We have lived the daily grind of ticket queues, on-call rotations, and vendor lock-in, and that is exactly why MSPlex exists.
ITECS is founded
Brian De Smit launches ITECS in Dallas, Texas - a managed IT services company built on the belief that small and mid-size businesses deserve enterprise-grade support without the enterprise price tag.
Scaling the stack
As the client roster grows, ITECS adopts early cloud-first strategies - migrating workloads to Azure and AWS while most regional MSPs are still racking servers. The team builds deep expertise in cybersecurity, compliance, and network design.
The integration pain grows
Every new tool means another silo. PSA, RMM, documentation, backup, security - none of them talk to each other natively. Custom scripts and middleware become a full-time job nobody signed up for.
AI enters the picture
As AI assistants and copilots begin maturing, the team sees an opportunity: what if every MSP tool could be accessed through a single, standardized protocol - and AI agents could orchestrate them?
MSPlex is born
ITECS spins out MSPlex as a dedicated product under American SaaS. The mission: build a managed MCP gateway purpose-built for the MSP industry - production-grade auth, per-tenant isolation, and connectors that actually work.
Early access launches
The first MSPlex connectors go live. MSPs begin routing AI tool calls through the gateway, replacing brittle custom integrations with a managed exchange layer backed by operators who understand the industry.
We built MSPlex because we needed it first.
After managing IT operations for hundreds of businesses, we hit the same walls every MSP hits and decided to tear them down.
Fragmented toolchains
PSA, RMM, documentation, backup, security - every vendor lives in its own silo. We spent years wiring them together with scripts that broke every time an API changed.
Security as an afterthought
Most integration approaches scatter API keys across AI agents with no audit trail. When a credential leaks, there is no kill switch. We needed production-grade auth from day one.
No standard for AI orchestration
AI copilots are powerful, but without a managed exchange layer, every MSP reinvents the same plumbing. We built MSPlex so you can focus on workflows - not infrastructure.
Operators building for operators.
MSPlex is not a venture-backed experiment. It is built by people who run an MSP every single day and who got tired of duct-taping their stack together.
